There’s nothing like the feeling that comes from the successful completion of a project, but our greatest professional fulfillment comes from connection and collaboration. When those two facets of our business come together in the form of beautiful work created with trusted partners, that’s when 210 Design House truly shines.
We recently shared a conversation with designer Colleen Kinder regarding her experience working with our team, and we’re honored to share here an additional conversation with Patrick McGuire of McGuire Architectural Interiors.
Meet Patrick McGuire, Founder of McGuire Architectural Interiors
Patrick McGuire of McGuire Architectural Interiors
“I first worked with 210 about 15 years ago on the 340 On the Park project in Chicago,” says McGuire. “We’ve done several projects together since.”

At the time, McGuire was with Related Midwest, where he partnered with 210 on the high-rise development. When he launched McGuire Architectural Interiors in 2010—blending his architectural expertise with his passions for color theory, light, texture, and decorative arts—his collaboration with 210 continued. Serving a range of clients from homeowners to developers and property managers, McGuire consistently turns to 210 to deliver the highest quality custom cabinetry solutions.
Beautiful Design From the Ground Up
“When I complete a project, I want the space to reflect the client more than it reflects me,” says McGuire.
To this end, McGuire’s process requires flexibility and the opportunity for endless customization. He’s worked with clients who want everything from minor tweaks to full-scale gut renovations—and 210 Design House offers options for every point on that spectrum. With its exquisite brand offerings, including Snaidero, a client favorite, and custom millwork capabilities, 210 provides solutions that balance luxury with functionality.
“When I first get started with a client, we have several meetings to really get a good sense of what they’re looking for and how they use their kitchen,” says McGuire. “Once we nail that down, we go to 210.”
A major advantage of working with 210 Design House is this opportunity for flexibility. No matter who the client is or exactly what they’re looking for, the team offers a massive range of finishes and functionalities, ensuring that each project is truly tailored to the individual.
The 210 Difference: A Commitment to the Details
Once selections have been made by the client, designer, and 210’s design team, the client can sit back and relax.
“Alex [Adducci] is meticulous about making sure everything is carefully reviewed before we place the order,” says McGuire. “Lead times on such high-quality cabinetry can be long, so Alex and the 210 team always ensure that the products are delivered exactly as the client expects. It’s an extra layer of perfectionism that saves us grief when it comes time for installation.”
With 210 managing these details, designers can focus on their craft without being weighed down by logistics.
“So many logistics, details, and decisions depend on when the cabinetry arrives,” says McGuire. “When we’re working with 210, my clients are very reassured that they’re being taken care of… and it’s not just me taking care of them, it’s the entire 210 team as well.”
More Than Just Great Design
While 210’s commitment to detailed precision (and beautiful functionality) offers a positive working experience for designers and clients alike, the team also prioritizes its long-standing core values.
McGuire has collaborated with 210 on several standout projects over the years, but one of the most significant remains 340 On the Park—a building that has set the tone for sustainability in Chicago high-rises.
McGuire has completed three kitchens with 210 Design House in the building—with the fourth currently being installed—helping to refresh the interiors while maintaining the sustainability-focused ethos that defined the project from the start.
“This project was the first residential high-rise in the Midwest to earn LEED Silver Certification,” McGuire says. “When 340 was built, it was at the forefront of sustainable design, avoiding the use of non-renewable resources, especially in the kitchen. That spirit is still alive today—residents are choosing induction over gas and finishes that are more durable over time.”

While the building itself embraces its contemporary roots—completed in 2009, with a lobby that still reflects its era—the kitchens inside are evolving. “Cherry cabinets had their day back then, but now everyone is ready for a refresh,” McGuire adds. “And the beauty of working with 210 is that they make the process seamless, supporting a transformation that enhances the space rather than replacing it entirely.”
Snaidero — A Fan Favorite Kitchen Brand
Having worked extensively with Snaidero cabinetry, McGuire appreciates the level of craftsmanship and refinement it brings. While some clients explore other options, he finds that the balance of quality, design, and ease of assembly keeps Snaidero a top choice.
After 340 On the Park—one of the first major Snaidero projects in the city—McGuire continued to collaborate with 210 on numerous projects over the years, including the model unit apartment at the St. Regis, where he worked with 210 on accessorizing the kitchen.

This commitment to quality is only matched by 210’s commitment to kindness—a vital part of collaboration with designers, partners, and clients alike.
“McGuire Architectural Interiors is a small operation, so teamwork and collaboration are important to me,” says McGuire. “I live and work by the Golden Rule… and the 210 team definitely reciprocates.”
